Seeking a full-time or part-time veterinary technician for placement in an AAHA accredited small animal veterinary hospital. Offering a clean, modern / updated environment to work in. Day-shift only, with some weekend coverage required. Up to date technology including digital radiography, ultrasound, anesthesia and monitoring equipment (Cardell), Class IV Laser, Tonovet and electroacupuncture.
An ideal candidate would possess excellent client communication skills and ability to multi-task and work efficiently. A mature, positive, upbeat attitude and strong work ethic is essential. Completion of a 2 or 4 year veterinary technology program and certification is preferred along with prior experience in surgery, catheter placement and anesthesia monitoring. This practice encounters a wide array of species including feline, canine, avian (psittacine and poultry/waterfowl), lagomorphs, cavies, mustelid, various reptiles, and rodents. This is not an entry level position. Knowledge of Impromed Infinity veterinary practice software and inventory management is helpful. Additional administrative tasks may be required as part of this team oriented environment.
