The New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Care is an Emergency, Referral, and Wellness hospital seeking experienced technicians to join our team. Looking for motivated, caring and organized individuals for our emergency/ ICU department. Responsibilities include: * Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit * Calculating dosages and administering medications via varied routes * Checking vital signs and performing abbreviated patient assessments (including temperature, pulse, heart rate, respiratory rate and effort, blood pressure via Doppler, etc) *Performing a variety of standard and advanced patient treatments including oxygen and nebulizer therapy, CRI's, wound treatment/drain maintenance, feeding tube treatment/maintenance, post-operative monitoring, catheter placement (variety) and maintenance, fluid therapy, & ECG monitoring

Experience working as a veterinary technician required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate from AVMA accredited program of Veterinary Technology or equivalent experience. (Preferred)
Minimum of 18 years old.
Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.
Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.
Is well-spoken and approaches his/her job duties in a mature nature.
Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.
Have excellent client communication skills.
Work requires lifting and carrying animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs). Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent position.
