The Seeing Eye, Inc., North America's pioneer guide dog school, is dedicated to helping people achieve greater independence, dignity, and self-confidence through the use of Seeing Eye dogs. Renowned for its rich tradition of excellence, the organization presently has an opportunity available for an experienced veterinarian at its scenic quarters in Morristown, New Jersey.
We are seeking a motivated individual with excellent clinical, surgical, organizational and communication skills to work as an associate in a state of the art facility in a team environment. We have a highly skilled support staff. This is a unique opportunity to practice the highest quality veterinary medicine in a "mission driven" setting working with large breed dogs destined to become Seeing Eye dogs.
Areas of emphasis include ophthalmology, pediatrics, reproduction and gastroenterology. Practice includes working closely with local veterinarians of puppy raising families as well as veterinary researchers and specialists at a number of veterinary schools and specialty facilities including Cornell and Penn.
Equipment includes ultrasound, dental x-ray unit, video endoscopes, indirect ophthalmoscopes, slit lamps, digital retinal camera, anesthetic monitoring devices, and IV infusion pumps.
Candidate must have a N.J. veterinary license or be eligible to sit for the next N.J. licensing exam. Valid driver's license required.
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience.
