Sunny Coast Veterinary (SCV) is a successful, progressive equine practice that has been serving Florida’s Southwest region (Naples to Bradenton) since 2005. With a focus on high quality sports medicine, alternative treatments, and preventative care, SCV utilizes the latest technologies and therapies including digital radiology; digital endoscopy; ESWT; stem cell, PRP, Pro-Stride, and IRAP; digital ultrasound; and class IV therapy laser. 

SCV is seeking a talented, hard-working associate with the experience and confidence necessary to work with autonomy. A high quality of life with an optimal work-life balance is one of the things that we are proud to be able to offer. This position is primarily ambulatory with occasional in-clinic work and emergency on-call service. Since SCV is known for providing a combination of eastern and western medicine, an associate with experience in acupuncture would be a plus.

The successful candidate will possess:

-A DVM/VMD degree

-A minimum of internship or 2 years in practice

-Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships

-An ability to work with minimal supervision

-Well developed organizational skills

-A demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

-A desire and ability to provide exceptional client services

-A determination to practice high quality medicine

-A penchant for learning and staying up to date on the latest medical technologies and procedures

-Enthusiasm and motivation

A competitive salary commensurate with experience, and benefits (CE, Florida license, DEA, association dues, vacation time) will be offered. Practice vehicle, cell phone, and all equipment are provided.

Discounted rent in the clinic apartment and discounted stall fees at the clinic barn can be negotiated into the contract.
