PetMedic Urgent Care Vet Clinic is looking to add a few skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technicians to their team. We have a welcoming, positive work environment and offer a four-day work week. Positive attitude and be a team player
Able to effectively communicate with clients (triage, discharge, client education, reviewing medications, etc.)
Experience with placing IV catheters, administering IV or SQ fluids, administering medications IV, SQ or PO, venipuncture and perform bloodwork
Comfortable taking radiographs, small animal restraint, triage, stable anesthesia
Obtain laboratory sample collection, process and interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)
Able to effectively communicate with DVM and other technicians
Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Able to commit to evening shifts and one weekend day
Assist the veterinarian in exam rooms and use veterinary software for documenting medical notes, and obtaining histories
Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with client
High school diploma or equivalent
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) preferred but not required
Minimum 2 years’ experience, preferably in urgent care or ER
