The Pinnacle Vet clinic is located on the foothills of the Ozark Mountains between Springfield, Missouri, and Bentonville, Arkansas.  Pinnacle Vet Clinic is owned by one of the best families in the pet industry who are also the largest independent distributors of pets in the United States.

The Pinnacle Pet group has spent over 20 years setting the standard for working with at-home dog care & breeding specialists, veterinary care, and daycare & boarding.

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a veterinarian job brimming with opportunity. Though not required outside of the general practice within the clinic, this position offers highly unique opportunities to advance your career through their work within the professional animal science community.

"Pinnacle Veterinary Clinic has partnered with multiple research groups and conducts field-advancing studies in dog care each year.  An additional opportunity for you as a staff veterinarian is to work alongside Pinnacle’s at-home dog care specialists who, by law, are required to have veterinarian check-ups at their home facilities each year. This opportunity to contribute to vital scientific research is available, but not required for the role. However, this work can count towards continuing education requirements.

Currently, the clinic is run by Dr. Bill Oxford who is ready to mentor the right people not just on the practice side of the clinic, but in the leadership roles needed to ultimately guide the clinic within a few years.

This is onsite in Neosho, MO with a relocation package available.

 As one of the Veterinarian staff you will be responsible for the functions outlined below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems.
• Treat and dress wounds.
• Perform surgery on animals.
• Test for and vaccinate against diseases.
• Operate medical equipment as needed.
• Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments.
• Prescribing medications.
• Euthanizing animals.
• Spay & Neuter cats and dogs.
• Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventative healthcare and general care.
• Update client records.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

• Work experience as a Veterinarian.
• Experience conducting various types or surgeries, vaccinations, and health checks.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms using simple language.
• Patience and a love for animals.
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
