Ambitious, personable veterinarians wanted for a well-established, currently 5-doctor, mixed animal practice in northern New York. We are looking for an enthusiastic small animal veterinarian to join our team. We practice high quality medicine in a home-town atmosphere. We have plenty of support staff with 5 customer service representatives, 6 licensed technicians, 5 animal caretakers, a technician assistant, a hospital assistant, a practice manager, and a book keeper. We have cultivated a great team and provide the best work/life balance that we can.
Position details include a large, renovated hospital with Impromed Infinity software, digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, high speed dental unit, full in house IDEXX lab, and more. Lots of mentoring and support available and a friendly, experienced support staff. We have shared on-call service with 2 other local practices, so on-call is minimal. There is a 24-hour emergency clinic less than an hour away in the Syracuse area, with several other options for referral in the area. Opportunities are available to develop your interests – ultrasound, physical therapy, etc.
Watertown, NY is close to the St. Lawrence river, Lake Ontario, the Adirondacks, and we are only 30 minutes from the Canadian border. It is a great area for outdoor sports enthusiasts as year-round recreation abounds. Hunting, fishing, snow sports, water sports, hiking, camping, and the list goes on. Watertown is a small city with a stable economy due to the nearby Army base at Fort Drum. We are also an easy drive to Syracuse, Albany and Rochester.
New graduates are encouraged to apply. Salary will be dependent on experience but no less than $85,000, which does not include all the benefits. Straight salary or Pro-Sal can be considered and will be renegotiated after 6 months.
