We believe boxers, budgies, beardies and bunnies living outside the concrete jungle of our urban centers deserve excellent care too!
We strive to provide comprehensive, education based and spectrum of care medicine services for all species in need of veterinary care.
What does our exotics caseload look like? It ranges from general wellness to sick critter care and support and extends to surgery and diagnostics. We have incubators, intubate most all species, use injectable multimodal premedications, small mammal dentistry, and a broad array of surgical procedures (beyond sterilization).
We are looking for a teammate who possesses a desire to build a strong foundation of knowledge across multiple species. Someone who isn't afraid to extrapolate from their knowledge and experience base and try. We are looking for a humble, compassionate and outgoing personality that enjoys working as a team and building relationships with their clients. We want someone who realizes we can't possibly know everything about every case - but we can research and use our network of colleagues and put forth a well planned approach to most any situation. This applies to experienced practitioners and new graduates alike.
We have a wonderful support staff, who whole heartedly desire to learn, grow and develop their own knowledge base and skill sets. We also engage in mentoring aspiring and recent grad veterinary professionals on a routine basis. As such, a DVM who enjoys teaching and mentoring is imperative. They must be good natured and fun loving - and capable of engaging in non-toxic, team banter and camaraderie.
A doctor on our team would work a 4 to 4.5 day work week (24-28hrs). With a set day off and alternating Saturday shifts. They also get to enjoy regular 3 day weekends where they can head to the beach, explore the local waterways, go bird-watching or head to Houston for a concert.
We maintain a servant-minded management outlook and believe in treating our teammates with respect, common sense and how we would like to be treated attitude.
Compensation is straight salary based ranging from $100-150K+ annually.
Ever seeking to stay progressive, we recently brought on Instinct digitalized treatment software, attended an amazing advanced soft tissue surgery course offering ( which we’ll be incorporating into our services asap) and are adding on personalized doctor scribes to take the headache out of record keeping.
We require all candidates to come and spent 2-3 days at our practice in order to ensure they are a good fit for our team, as much as our team is a good fit for them.
