Button Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned, well-established (founded in 1920) full-service small animal hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We are currently located in the Nalley Valley neighborhood in Tacoma and will be relocating to a larger facility at the end of 2023. Because of our longevity, we have treated pets for 4 and 5 generations of families in the South Puget Sound. We consider our patients part of our family and approach veterinary care as such. Our goal is to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and full-service veterinary health care. We provide care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and pocket pets.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently looking to add full-time or part-time associates to our 3-doctor practice. Our full-time veterinarians work 4 days per week for 32-38 hours with 1 ½ hour lunches schedule for each shift. Additionally, our 30-minute appointment length offers you adequate time for each client and patient.
We pay based on production with a guaranteed base salary. Benefits include subsidized medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, state and DEA licenses, VIN, AVMA, and WSVMA annual memberships, PLIT coverage, as well as a CE allowance with paid time off to attend, with 401(k) soon to follow. For the right candidate, we are open to providing relocation support.
ABOUT YOU:
At Button Veterinary Hospital we consider our clients and their pets as family. We are a fun-loving group with a team of compassionate and hard-working staff. We are in search of the right veterinarian to join our team. We have a variety of personalities that mesh well together and want our next veterinarian to first and foremost care about our patients and clients and endeavor to provide high quality medicine, create lasting relationships with our clients and be willing to share your knowledge with both our veterinarians and our support staff. We are open to both part-time and full-time associates. Everyone says it, but we value a work/life balance for all our staff and we think we do a good job!
ABOUT THE TEAM:
We decided to let the staff tell you about our team. Here are some of the things they had to say:
Our team is caring and compassionate, which of course, is key to high quality patient care.
The team members see us as a well-oiled machine, efficient but flexible and open to new avenues of patient care, always striving to improve the medicine we provide.
Our senses of humor are important to us, we like to have fun and appreciate being able to be silly.
The team feels that we are a solid unit that works well together and a positive group, always ready to say yes!
We also heard that the team is treated equally, no matter their role in the team and that we are treated as high value employees, integral to our practice.
The staff found it beneficial is that we regularly give/receive positive feedback and are encouraged to grow. We consider ourselves laid back and peaceful with no tolerance for drama and backstabbing.
ABOUT THE PRACTICE:
We are in the process of planning a relocation to a facility just 3 ½ miles from our current location. We are moving to be able to accommodate our growing clientele, expand our services and improve our overall work environment. We are open to expanding our services to include a candidate’s specials interest such as ultrasound, class IV therapeutic laser therapy, surgical, holistic care, behavioral, etc (we are currently implementing the use of our new class IV laser and are adding an ultrasound later this year).
Our Core Values:
Patient Care - We are committed to providing compassionate, ethical, & quality care to our patients using progressive medical knowledge and sound judgment.
Client Service - We strive to understand our client's needs & provide consistent service with honesty and integrity.
Team - We regard our employees as our greatest strength and treat them with the respect and care worthy of a valued resource.
Collaboration - Our team recognizes the importance of working & communicating with our clients to provide the best care for our patients.
Education - We recognize the importance of continual learning and we are committed to continuing to improve our knowledge, skills and the services we provide for our patients.
If we sound like we might be a good fit for you, please forward your resume and professional references to our practice manager, Debby Phillips. We look forward to hearing from you.
