Horton Animal Hospital Discovery in Columbia, Missouri is a growing 24-hour emergency hospital with general practice during regular business hours. We are seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join our team. Since opening in 2020, we have been supporting veterinarians within a radius of ~200 miles by offering referral for hospitalization, specialty surgeries, and emergency services. Our management team of two hospital managers and two DVM chiefs of staff are dedicated to making this hospital a place where our staff feels respected, valued, and supported. Our team has a large and growing support staff that works hard to provide excellent care to our patients and clients. We are looking for a talented, collaborative, and enthusiastic Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join our team! Our ideal doctor has a minimum of 2-years experience working in small animal ER/Critical Care and is comfortable performing routine procedures and common ER/Critical Care procedures including, but not limited to: exploratories, emergency c-sections, foreign bodies, GDV, amputations, etc.
In-house ultrasound with Oncura support to offer abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms
Large surgical suite
Digital radiography with access to radiologist review if needed
In-house Idexx lab and reference lab
